Comfort Modifications: Lifts, Pads and Orthotic Fitting

How small cobbler adjustments solve heel pain, uneven gait and pressure points.

Heel lifts

For leg-length discrepancy or Achilles tension, an internal or external lift of three to twelve millimeters can be built into the shoe rather than dropped in loose.

Metatarsal pads

Placed just behind the ball of the foot, these spread the metatarsal heads and relieve forefoot burning.

Making room for orthotics

Prescription orthotics take volume. We can remove factory footbeds, skive the insole board and stretch the upper so your device fits without cramping your toes.

Rocker soles

For stiff big-toe joints and forefoot pain, a rocker profile added to the sole reduces the amount the joint must bend during push-off.

Come in for fitting

Comfort work is iterative. We'd rather adjust twice than guess once — follow-up tweaks are part of the job.
